The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) is a specialist public sector entity that provides a full range of audit services to the Australian Parliament, the Australian Government and public sector entities. The purpose of the ANAO is to drive accountability and transparency in the Australian Government sector through quality evidence based audit services and independent reporting to Parliament, the Executive and the public, with the result of improving public sector performance.
We are seeking EL1 Directors in the Performance Audit Services Group to support the delivery of performance audit products. As a Director in the Performance Audit Services Group you will assist in the management and delivery of complex audit products in accordance with approved plans and operational priorities. Under the broad supervision of the audit manager, you will also work with a team to plan, research and undertake an audit, including identification of relevant evidence to form an opinion against a set objectives, and contribute to annual audit planning, consideration of Parliamentary priorities, emerging risks and issues of materiality and impact.
As a Director, you will also provide leadership and development for team members, manage positive client relationships, provide high level professional and technical advice and provide representation at senior levels on behalf of the ANAO.
There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to utilise flexible working arrangements, including part-time working arrangements.
The recruitment process will include a short group task and a short written assessment. Interviews of suitable candidates will be undertaken before positions are offered.
There are no mandatory qualifications. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience in evaluation and/or strong communications skills, including report writing, are highly desirable.
