The Major Projects Report (MPR) assurance review team works with the Capability and Acquisition Sustainment Group (CASG) within the Department of Defence in order to provide the Auditor-General of Australia with sufficient evidence to support a review conclusion over the Project Data Summary Sheets (PDSS) included in the MPR.
This role will see the successful applicant undertake travel, including interstate, to conduct review work within DMO’s project offices in order to assure the information within the 26 PDSS in the MPR, at an individual project level. While fieldwork focuses on individual projects, a major challenge for the MPR review team is to consider overall project performance at a ‘portfolio of projects’ level, considering the core attributes of cost, schedule, and capability. The MPR team also reviews the systems and processes in the DMO which contribute to its project management environment.
The MPR assurance review team is drawn from a range of professional and technical backgrounds. Knowledge of Defence processes, or auditing and assurance, is not essential, but applicants who can demonstrate that their skills and experience are relevant to the role will have an advantage. On the job training will be provided.
To apply for this role you will need to submit your resume and no more than 1000 words telling us why you are the best person for the role.
