The ANAO is seeking Performance Analysts in the Performance Audit Services Group (PASG) to support the delivery of performance audit products. As a Performance Analyst, under the broad supervision and guidance of an Audit Manager, you would be part of a small audit team undertaking a performance audit on one or a number of Commonwealth entities. You will be responsible for one of the more complex or substantial performance audit issues, projects or tasks; assist in encouraging and promoting effective teamwork; and provide professional or technical support.
The work is characterised by a degree of independent action and initiative under broad guidance; tasks of medium to high level complexity; decision making within legislative frameworks and consistent with internal operating policies and procedures; liaison and co-ordination with client agency staff and other stakeholders; and representation on behalf of the ANAO.
You will develop an understanding of a portfolio of agencies across Australia, their risks, objectives and performance indicators and will contribute to the annual forward work plan and will also assist in promoting strong teamwork.
There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to utilise flexible working arrangements, including part-time working arrangements.
There are no mandatory qualifications. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience in evaluation and/or strong communications skills, including report writing, are highly desirable.
