The Skills and Training Group has multiple APS 4 to EL2 ongoing and non-ongoing positions available for energetic and highly motivated individuals with excellent project and program management and/or financial skills.
Successful applicants will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. They will have high-level written and analytical skills and the ability to build effective relationships, and work collaboratively with key stakeholders both externally and across the department.
Available roles are primarily program management focussed and involve a mix of program delivery, program improvement and stakeholder liaison, including closely with industry stakeholders, apprenticeship bodies, client focused associations and state and territory government officials. In addition, there are a number of roles which require financial knowledge/skills.
These positions offer an opportunity to work on a high profile critical Government agenda with skills reform forming a central component of the Prime Minister’s JobMaker Plan.
With skills at the forefront of the Government’s post COVID-19 economic recovery agenda, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to this complex public policy agenda. Successful candidates will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a range of critical skills and training programs aimed at ensuring employers and all individuals, regardless of background or circumstance, being able to access and use the right skills at the right time.
