Regional Presence Events

The all-day Regional Presence Events are designed as a career development opportunity, and to build a regional network for Australian Public Service Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees to increase the level of support available in these areas. Therefore these events are for staff in those locations only.

Upcoming Events

The ATO is overseeing this Series of Regional Presence Events with the assistance of Marumali Consultations:

  • Tuesday 6 August 2019
    Melbourne and Geelong Regions
    Hotel Grand Chancellor, 131 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC.
    Registrations will commence from 9.00am to 9.25am, and the event will conclude at 4.00pm.

Please be aware, this is an invitation only event for staff in each location and there are limited places available.  An agenda and formal invite will be provided to interested staff prior to the event. Your nominal agency will also like to know of your interest and may seek this information from you too.

The ATO considers the event a paid work event. However staff from outside agencies are encouraged to confirm with their managers their agencies requirements for the event. Whilst staff are also required to seek approval from their managers to attend the event, managers are kindly encouraged to release their staff as the event directly supports career development and employee retention for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
